ABOUT CLáR
Irish roots. A powerful voice. Songs of freedom and becoming.
CLÁR is Irish singer-songwriter Clár Killoran, originally from County Tyrone and now based in Colorado. Blending Irish folk with the grit and storytelling of Americana, she brings a powerful, soulful voice to original songs about freedom, recovery and finding your own way.
Her debut single, “Sáoirse” - the Irish word for freedom, connects her heritage with her own story. Recorded at Temple Lane Studios in Dublin, the song weaves English and Irish lyrics with uilleann pipes, building from an atmospheric opening into an energetic traditional Irish finale.
Music has been a constant thread in Clár’s life. Through recovery, she found the courage to pursue it more fully, turning lived experience into songs that offer connection, hope and the possibility of a different future. Her writing is rooted in a belief that our story is never over.
Clár has performed at Jupiter Irish Festival and Wellington Irish Festival, bringing together traditional Irish music and original songs. She performs regularly throughout Colorado and Florida, with previous appearances in Nashville and Las Vegas. Her live shows move between intimate acoustic storytelling and spirited full band shows, with audiences already requesting her original songs.
Her music has also received recognition from Jupiter Irish Festival organiser David McGovern, who described her Irish-language song on CBS’s ARC Florida as sounding “phenomenal.”
With a growing repertoire of original material, CLÁR is building towards festival and showcase performances across the United States, Ireland and Europe—sharing music that carries her Irish roots and the life she has built beyond them.
